production of film

For the production of my film i was originally going to just film it with  Canon 650d but i thought that it would be a good idea to convey my point of view on the bike so i also used a GoPro hero 1 and attached it to my helmet. With this method of filming i had to look up different way on positioning the camera. After i had the position of the camera sorted i had to do some test on the angle of the camera to make sure it wasnt just filming the sky or the ground and that everything i wanted was in shot. There was a couple of failed attempts were the GoPro was way to low and was just filming the front of my bike. Once this was adjusted i took a ride around Plymouth for a couple of hours getting some footage of bikers giving the nod and not just ignoring me. When this was done i then had to skim through all the footage to pick out the good shots, from there i just kept narrowing down the shots until there was only about 2-3  shots left.

The software i used to edit my film was adobe premiere pro. I had never edited film before but i chose to use premiere because it came highly recommend and im used to using other adobe softwares like illustrator and photoshop, this helped because i knew the basic layout and symbols in premiere. After i had finished editing my film i had a real problem with the audio. I had know idea if i was going to narrate over the film or have a fast or slow song in the back ground. But in the end i just chose a slow tempo song to have over my original audio.

Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes. Is the name of the song i chose to use in my film.
