Evaluation

I enjoyed making a short film in what ever style i wanted and learning about the history of punk. From the beginning of the project i was interested from filming from my point of view but i didnt have a subject in mind. Once i had chosen to film my point on my motorcycle, the next step was to try and film on a sunny day when all the other bikers are out so i could get there reactions. For some reason this was quite hard to do. On the two days i went out riding for footage there was only a couple of people on bikes I'm assuming because they were such sunny days most of the bikers went touring or went to places like the beach with their families.

If i had to do this project again i would most definitely learn how to use Premiere Pro more and try to use colour correction and effects. Also i wouldnt leave editing my film for the last day of hand in because i got the dates mixed up. I would also probably choose to make a film maybe with a story and use my canon 650d a bit more to make the film look a bit more professional.

Overall i wasnt really happy with my production or my final outcome because i left it all to the last minute witch i would not do again. But at the same time i really enjoyed the overall project. Coming from the visual FX side of the design for games course i have always been into films and CG element side. In fact during the summer a few of the BA film students such as Aden Barwick and Rob Marshall and I will be working together as a little production company making short films with some elements of CG and prop FX. This will be good to build up a portfolio also i have known Aden Barwick for around 10 years and am quite comfortable with his film style and his technique. I think form now I will mainly stay of the FX side of films.
